New Opportunities Provided by the Final HRA Regulations

The Trump Administration recently released the final rule on the expansion of Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA’s). This rule gives employers the opportunity to offer two new types of HRA’s beginning in 2020 as follows:
- Individual-Coverage HRA’s
- Excepted-Benefit HRA’s
To help our broker partners better understand this new regulation, our legal partner Thompson Hine LLP will be presenting an educational webinar. This webinar will provide a basic overview of these new types of HRA’s and how they compare to the HRA’s currently available. Additionally it will highlight the circumstances under which an employer may want to explore these options, and review the requirements for setting up and offering one or more of the HRAs.
