Empire is notifying Small Group subscribers of 2023 rate change requests

Empire has filed an annual premium rate change request for 2023 Small Group business with the Department of Financial Services and will notify groups about the process and requested rate change by mail.
Recently, Empire HealthChoice Assurance, Inc. filed a request with the New York Department of Financial Services (DFS) to approve changes to its Small Group products and rates for 2023.
In compliance with New York State law, we are sending group administrators notices about the requested rate change. Attached is a sample for your reference.
Group Benefits Administrators are responsible for notifying the individual members within their group. For convenience, we have provided sample letters employers may use to communicate the requested rate change to their individual group subscribers.
Once DFS has set our final rates for 2023, we will notify those whose rates are affected before their next renewal date. The final rates may differ from what Empire requested based on any modification by the DFS.
