Preparing for the End of the COVID-19 Emergencies
A webinar presented by Professional Group Plans and Thompson Hine LLP
Tuesday, February 28
10:00–10:45 a.m. ET
President Biden recently signaled that the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency and National Emergency likely will end on May 11, 2023. As a result, May 11 should mark the end of certain requirements for health plan coverage, certain relief for health plans and the Outbreak Period deadline extensions.
During this webinar, Kim Wilcoxon, a member of Thompson Hine’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation group, will walk through a number of issues that employers should consider when addressing the end of the emergencies, including:
- Identifying plan changes made during the emergencies and determining whether they can and should be continued
- Updating the plan’s administration and documentation to reflect any changes driven by the end of the emergencies
- Coordinating with vendors
- Communicating to employees
